The Path

I walked in a dim forest, on soft moss,
amongst dead trees and fallen trunks.

My only signpost was a blossoming path
- as if someone´s footsteps were blooming.

I walked and walked, step by step
until I saw an opening far ahead
- a field, I thought.

Exactly at the point where the shadow began to give way to the light,
a black cloack rested on the ground and I picked it up.
It seemed that the blossoming footsteps had been run.

It was not a field but a boundless ocean of flowers.
The cloack on my hands whispered:
Everything is so grand and good,
great flowers in my heart open wide
and infuse the fragrance of utter peace.
